Indicted by the Hague Tribunal for the “creation of impossible conditions of life, persecution and terror tactics in order to encourage non-Serbs to leave the area, deportation of those reluctant to leave, and the liquidation of others”. 5 counts of genocide, 5 counts of crimes against humanity, 1 count of violations of the laws or customs of war/ murder. Plavsic was sentenced to 11 years in prison. In 2003 she started serving her sentence at the women’s prison in Örebro, Sweden. Granted early release by the UN War crimes court for “good behaviour”. On 27th October 2009 Plavsic returned to Belgrade after serving two-thirds of her 11-year sentence. Momcilo Krajisnik, nicknamed ‘ Mr No’.
