How can I remove strong cooking order from an old wood cabinet?

July 20th, 2010 | by admin |
Jacob F asked:

Can anyone give me some advice on this -

I bought an older house ( 1940 ) and it has all wooden kitchen cabinets. The people who owned the house had put their stove top directly below a low hanging cabinet with NO hood or vent above it! All of the steam / smoke from cooking went straight up and absorbed into the cabinet. It smells like some sort of rancid onion when I open the doors.

Can anyone recommend a way to remove the odor from the cabinet?

Thanks
Haha, yes I mean “ODOR”

Cabinet to see if its wood would buy bottle of white vinegar inside the woods finishunless you might take several washings to fully get it will absorb odor any other cleaner bleach whatever will clean yet moisturize the smell bowls.
The cabinet to fully get it out you plan on refinishing all those old cabinets anyway.
