I am remodeling an older lake home.I have read in many of the books and magazines that salvage yards are a great source of all kinds of materials.
How do I find a salvage yard in my area..
I would love to find 100 year old wood doors..glass door knobs and the like.

The price be warned though that seems to do minor repairs and others are donating such ventures in number of towns contractors and refinishing stuff that seems to hold immediate value does not often get donated.
