I typed a contract and we will both sign this.
It is any else that I should request ? if yes are specific forms to be completed ?
I was thinking to ask for insurance and also for tax information ( in this case SSN) ..
How can I ask for his SSN . I need a copy of his card . Any advise is appreciate.

Part of doing business is to supply proof of Liability Insurance, SSN to prove a legal resident and also ask for his Tax Number. This insures he is operating as a legitimate company Also put in a call to the Better Business Bureau. You do not want a dead beat that will cause a lien on the job.
