Meagan P asked:

i would like to do a few things
1. kitchen renovation
nothing really high end but a nice kitchen with island
2. i want to put a toilet and stand up shower in the exzisting laundry room without taking the washer and dryer out
3. and exzisting bathroom needs rennovations minor stuff
new bath tub and walls new tile flooring, vanity and linnen closet
4. i was thinking about adding a master suite to the house
but i dont know if that would be realistic my lot is 100×120 and my current house takes up about 1,400sq ft

i dont really know where to start or even how to go about it i got a few estimates on the kitchen but they wanted about 36k and i felt that was really pricy i could prolly have my kitchen laundry room and current bath done for all that

It would help if you had some pictures of the rooms you were thinking about renovating. I am a realtor and see lots of houses with lots of different floor plans and decor. I also just got done doing some minor renovation at a house I just bought. Not very much fun, but learned a lot. If you feel comfortable shoot me a line or maybe post some pictures.

That actually is a good price, construction cost have been increasing steadily. You can get it done cheaper but probably with substandard workmanship. The place to start is to draw up some plans with a designer and then have 3 companies bid on it. Make sure they are licensed and insured and go for it. 3mo. from now it will be all done.
