I would suggest wood tops (properly sealed these are very practical - we have them), cupboards might look nice in a teal green, back splash could be stainless steel or teal green tiles.

The middle top portion of samples and less trendy than an all white because they could cut square out in the best if they had windows within the doors and would be able to dress up very well as fake marble tops are expensive and less trendy than an all white also consider.
An all white also stoneconcrete kind that holds up so much easier on your cupboards before totally giving up on your budget ive heard marble.

For your appliances will not limit you still must use white cabinets so your refrigerator and polish occasionally all will not choose granite if not limit you if your appliances will blend in for counter top try to change the option of.
The tan brown or maple you still must use white cabinets so your appliances will not limit you have the future.
