O->–< asked: I bought all new hardware (knobs and pulls) for my kitchen cabinets. After taking the old hardware off, I noticed that it has left marks (a bit of an indentation and a slightly lighter color of wood where the hardware covered). Is there anything I can do rather than sanding and re-staining all of my cabinets? Many thanks!
I’m pretty sure they’re oak cabinets.
Thanks for all of the great suggestions!!

Rose Lily asked: So I just bought this house and the plan is to fix it up and then put it up for rent. Well it’s really a good size house 3-4 bedrooms, bath, kitchen, dining room, living room, another 2 small rooms I guess was entertaining room with fireplace also and then this tiny little room by the kitchen. We are painting it and leveling it among other things…..So my parents are wanting to do a lot of it themselves….and they are in an argument about painting the house…should they do it now or after they level the house. One says if they paint, once they level, the paint will crack and they’ll have to paint again…Well I know nothing about it I would think they should level the house first of all before ANYTHING but that’s just me. So any construction worker out there or someone who knows more than me obviously can you lend a helping hand.

SueToo asked: Can’t afford a kitchen renovation. Thought of laying ceramic tiles, but dimensions of the bench would make ugly joins - gaps of about 20mm on two sides.

p_wabbit asked: I know the Jenn-Air rangetops have a side vent as opposed to the typical range hood - - I’m looking for something akin to a backsplash (there is a window behind stove, that I don’t want to block)
- has anybody seen this?
- is there a special name? supplier?
- any thoughts?
