The renovation will include completely replacing a kitchen and two bathrooms, cosmetic changes to most of the rest of the interior, updating the exterior, and possibly building an additional level on one section of the home.

      b/c Interior Designers are Gay…?

but really, Architects will draw up the plans that you must have so that the city and the community will require. Its more of a one stop shop. An interior designer still has to have plans made up by someone.

Most architects will be able to give you solid interior design tips as well.

If you plan on financing the project you must have an architect. Most lenders require the “Stamp” he/she will place on the prints. Also if there are any problems in the design of the structure the architect is responsible. An interior decorator is not responsible for cosmetics. Do your homework, talk to the city building and planning dept. Take no shortcuts it’ll bite you in the end!!!!
