The answer to your question is yes, although it is not called that. If you go to the hardware store and tell them what you are wanting to do there are several options. The most common is a drawer lock or a filing cabinet lock. Both will work and come with keys.
The other thing you can do is go into the child safety department and get some cabinet locks there. They have no keys and are designed to prevent small children from opening the cabinets. Depending on how “old” your sister is this maybe enough to deter her. If not the keyed option listed above will work, but does require a little more work on your part and will require a key to open.

What is called a “cam” lock will do the job. They cost less than $10. and are versatile and easy to install. You just have to drill a 3/4 inch hole, insert a D-ring that comes with the lock, then put the lock into the ring. The instructions are easy to follow. Get one at a good hardware store or from a locksmith’s shop.
